Climb the 135 steps of the Trinità dei Monti staircase to reach the terrace with panoramic views over Rome's rooftops. In spring the staircase fills with azaleas. Sitting on the steps is forbidden (the municipal police are strict about it), but you can stand or stay in the square below. The Trinità dei Monti church at the top is free to enter and contains frescoes by Daniele da Volterra.
