Piazza Navona is a must-see. Built on the site of the ancient Stadium of Domitian, it's home to Bernini's Fountain of the Four Rivers and two side fountains. Cafés and restaurants all around (pricey), but you can enjoy the square just by walking through. In the evening it comes alive with street artists, portrait painters and musicians. At Christmas it becomes the city's most famous market.
