Via dei Fori Imperiali connects Piazza Venezia to the Colosseo. Walking along it you can see the Fori of Cesare, Augusto, Nerva and Traiano from above (free from the edge). On Sunday afternoons and public holidays it's closed to traffic and becomes a real pedestrian boulevard. Towards the Colosseo, head down to the terrace on Via del Tempio della Pace for one of the most beautiful views of the Foro Romano. Combine it with a climb up to the Campidoglio for another scenic viewpoint.
