Pantheon — step inside Rome's best-preserved temple

The oculus, the dome, 2000 years of history. A must-see.

Di cosa si tratta

The Pantheon is the best-preserved masonry building from Roman antiquity. You walk in, look up and find yourself under the largest unreinforced concrete dome ever built, with the oculus open to the sky. For some time now, entry has had a symbolic fee on weekdays, but it remains free for Lazio residents and on many special occasions. The external square (Piazza della Rotonda) is always open and perfect for a coffee with a view of the columns.
