San Paolo Fuori le Mura is one of Rome's 4 major papal basilicas, but it's far less crowded than San Pietro, which makes it special: you get in within minutes, the space is huge, the golden mosaics are stunning. Don't miss the Cosmatesque cloister (small separate ticket, but minimal cost). It's easy to reach by metro B, Basilica San Paolo stop. Dress code like all churches: shoulders and knees covered.
