Di cosa si tratta

The Appian Way is the Roman 'queen of roads', built in 312 BC. In the Appian Way Regional Park you can walk for kilometres on the same cobblestones that legionaries and merchants once travelled. You enter from Porta San Sebastiano (Tomba di Cecilia Metella area). On Sundays cars are closed to traffic and it's perfect for cycling (rentals available in the area, fee required) or walking. The park is free; the catacombs along the route charge an entrance fee. Bring water and a hat in summer.
